KINDOS FAMILY SAFETY · PRINTABLE

🎃 Halloween Safety Plan

Quick first steps for families. Keep this guide somewhere easy to find and review it before you need it.

Emergency first: If anyone is in immediate danger, seriously injured, having trouble breathing, unconscious, or you believe the situation may be life-threatening, call 911 or your local emergency services now.

What to do

Choose a route and meeting point

Tell everyone where the group is going and where to meet if separated.

Make costumes easy to see and move in

Use reflective/bright elements and make sure masks, shoes and accessories do not block vision or walking.

Use sidewalks and crossings

Cross at corners/crosswalks, look both ways and avoid darting between parked cars.

Carry light and contact information

Use flashlights or glow items and ensure children know how to reach a trusted adult.

Check treats before eating

Have an adult review candy/treats, especially for allergies, damaged packaging or age-related choking risks.

Keep pets secure

Costumes, doorbells and crowds can stress pets. Keep them safely controlled and away from unsafe treats.
