A simple overview of how Kindos approaches protecting family information—without overpromising what technology can guarantee.
Kindos is designed to protect family information through layered technical and product controls. Security is an ongoing practice, not a one-time claim. We avoid promising protections we have not verified and encourage responsible reporting when someone finds a potential issue.
Family roles and permissions are designed to limit who can see or change family information.
Kindos uses secure network connections (HTTPS/TLS) when information moves between supported clients and services.
Kindos is designed around private family spaces instead of public child profiles.
Security principles
- Authentication and permissions: account and family roles are used to help restrict access to authorized people.
- Secure connections: supported Kindos web traffic uses HTTPS. Mobile and connected-service security also depends on device, platform and provider controls.
- Private-by-default family design: Kindos is not intended to make a child’s family activity publicly searchable.
- Data minimization: features should request information for a clear product purpose rather than collecting information simply because it is available.
- Deletion and retention controls: families can request deletion, and Kindos aims not to retain children’s personal information indefinitely.
- Provider review: infrastructure and AI providers are selected for defined product functions; see the Service Providers page.
What security cannot guarantee
No online service can promise that a security incident, device compromise, network failure or unauthorized access will never occur. Families should protect account credentials, keep devices updated and use device-level security features.

If you believe you found a security vulnerability affecting Kindos or getkindos.com, please email hello@getkindos.com with “Security Report” in the subject. Please do not access, change, download or expose other people’s information while testing a suspected issue.
