Kindos™ Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Kindos, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you are using Kindos on behalf of a child or family, you represent that you have authority to make decisions for that account or family space. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Accounts, family roles and permissions

Users are responsible for the accuracy of account information and for protecting sign-in credentials, devices, backup PINs and other access methods. A family owner or authorized adult controls invitations, child profiles, trusted-adult permissions and other family access. Only invite people you know and trust. Kindos may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or maintain service security.

3. Children, parents and guardians

Kindos is designed for family use with parent or guardian oversight. Adults who create or manage child profiles are responsible for providing required permissions and consents and for supervising the child’s use in a manner appropriate for the child. 4. Family content and ownership

You keep ownership of content you create or upload, such as messages, photos, homework images, Family Room posts and profile information. You grant Kindos a limited license to host, process, transmit, display and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support and improve the services you choose to use. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload or share the content.

Family spaces are intended to be private to authorized participants, but users should not upload content they are not comfortable storing in an online service.

5. AI Tutor, Ask Kindos and Vision features

Kindos may use artificial intelligence to help with tutoring, family organization, image understanding and related tasks. AI responses can be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate despite safeguards. Users should verify important information and should not rely on AI as a substitute for a qualified teacher, doctor, lawyer, financial professional or emergency responder.

Do not intentionally submit highly sensitive information to an AI feature unless it is necessary for the feature and you are comfortable doing so. More information is in the Privacy Policy and Trust Center.

6. Location, safety and emergency features

Kindos location tools are intended for voluntary family coordination. Location may be delayed, unavailable or inaccurate because of device settings, connectivity, permissions, operating-system behavior or other factors. “Check-In,” “I’m Leaving,” “Pick Me Up,” optional location sharing and Emergency Alarm features do not guarantee that another person will see or respond to an alert.

Kindos is not a 911 or emergency-dispatch service and does not automatically contact emergency responders. In an immediate or life-threatening emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service directly.

7. Emergency Vault and family records

The Emergency Vault may help families organize copies of cards, contacts and other records. It is not a medical-record system, insurer, identity-verification service or official document repository. Keep original documents where required and independently verify information before relying on it.

8. School and calendar connections

Optional connections to services such as Google Classroom, calendars, maps or similar third-party services depend on the access granted by the user, school, provider and device. Kindos does not control third-party availability, district policies or the accuracy of data supplied by those services.

9. Third-party services

Kindos may link to or interoperate with third-party platforms. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Kindos is not responsible for independent third-party services, their content or their availability. A current overview of important operational providers is available on the Service Providers page.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use Kindos to harm, threaten, exploit, harass, impersonate or unlawfully monitor another person; attempt to gain unauthorized access; interfere with the service; upload malware; violate another person’s rights; use the service for unlawful activity; or bypass safety, parental, permission or security controls.

11. Intellectual property

Kindos™, the Kindos name, branding, software, site design, original graphics and other Kindos materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Kindos intellectual property to users.

12. Beta features, changes and availability

Kindos may release beta, experimental or early-access features. Those features may change, be interrupted, contain errors or be removed. Kindos may update the services, these Terms or feature availability as the product develops. Material Terms changes will be posted with an updated effective date and additional notice when appropriate.

13. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Kindos is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without a guarantee that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or suitable for every family. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kindos and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Any limitation applies only to the extent allowed by law and does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

15. Account termination and deletion

You may stop using Kindos at any time and may request account or profile deletion through available in-app controls or the Delete Account page. Kindos may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, security threats or legal requirements.
