Children’s Privacy at Kindos™

1. Kindos is designed around parent or guardian oversight

Kindos is a family service. Child profiles are intended to exist within a family space managed by a parent, guardian or authorized adult. Adults control family membership and permissions and can decide which optional features a child may use.

2. Information that may be collected from or about a child

Depending on the features the family enables, this may include:

• profile information such as a name, nickname, avatar and birthdate information the family chooses to provide;
• chores, routines, homework, rewards, allowance records and calendar items;
• messages, Family Room content, reactions and media intentionally shared with authorized family participants;
• homework photos, questions, voice input or other content intentionally submitted to Tutor AI, Vision or other AI-assisted features;
• assignment or course information from an optional school connection;
• location information only when a location-dependent feature is enabled or intentionally used and device permission allows it; and
• technical information reasonably needed for authentication, notifications, security, diagnostics and service reliability.

3. Why Kindos uses child information

Kindos uses child information to provide the family features that have been requested, such as chores and rewards, homework organization and tutoring, private family communication, calendar coordination, check-ins and ride requests, app security, notifications and support. Kindos does not sell children’s personal information and does not use it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Parental notice and consent

When applicable law requires verifiable parental consent before Kindos collects, uses or discloses personal information online from a child under 13, Kindos will use an appropriate parent notice and consent process before that collection occurs. Kindos does not condition a child’s participation on providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for the activity.

5. Service providers

Kindos may use companies that provide hosting, databases, authentication, notifications, AI processing, cloud infrastructure, analytics or other operational services. Those providers may process child information only as reasonably needed to perform services for Kindos and subject to applicable privacy, security and contractual obligations. 6. Child location information

Kindos is designed for purposeful family coordination rather than hidden continuous tracking. Location access is not intended to start just because the app opens. A device permission and an enabled or intentionally initiated location feature are required. Parents or guardians can manage child access to optional location features, and device operating-system permissions remain in control.

Family Check-In, I’m Leaving, Pick Me Up, optional location sharing and Emergency Alarm are coordination tools—not emergency-dispatch services. Location may be delayed or inaccurate.

7. Tutor AI and other AI-assisted features

When a child uses an AI feature, Kindos may process the prompt, homework photo, image, voice input or contextual information reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature. Kindos is designed to keep child-facing AI age-aware and family controlled. AI can make mistakes, so it should support learning rather than replace teachers, parents or professional advice.

8. Parent and guardian rights

Subject to identity and authority verification, a parent or guardian may ask Kindos to:

• describe the personal information collected from a child;
• provide access to or review of that information where required;
• correct information that is inaccurate where applicable;
• delete a child’s personal information, subject to limited legal, security and operational exceptions; or
• stop further collection or use of the child’s personal information where applicable.

Requests can be made through available in-app controls, the Delete Account page, or hello@getkindos.com. Kindos may verify that the requester is the parent, guardian or otherwise authorized person before releasing or deleting child information.

9. Retention and deletion

Kindos retains child personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the specific purpose for which it was collected and does not intend to retain child personal information indefinitely. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, Kindos will delete or de-identify it using reasonable measures, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention and backup-cycle exceptions.
